Outboard Motor Theft

This week Crime Stoppers and (SD&G OPP) are asking for the public’s help in solving outboard motor thefts……..Every year throughout the boating season numerous outboard motors are stolen. Thieves tend to target the smaller type engines, in particular motors up to and including 25 horsepower. Boaters are reminded to secure their motors when they are not in use to help prevent them from being stolen. Remember: Possession of stolen property carries the same penalty as the actual theft.

If you have any information on this or any other crime, please call Crime Stoppers  at 1-800-222-8477, or you can submit a tip on line at www.seawayvalleycrimestoppers.ca.

Remember we don’t need your name, you will remain anonymous, we don’t have call display, you don’t have to appear in court, and you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.

Crime Stoppers, it’s your program, and it works.
